![]() WHAT THE **** IS HAPPENING TO ME?! get to 40 and everything goes to ****. ![]() I've even started going to bed early a few nights a week "to catch up". Gone back to windows 8.1 as i was having "annoying issues" which i'd have once spent an age on until they were resolved, somehow. I like my wallpaper and stuff is organized in groups around the edges of the screen, but beyond that, i don't need no feeds (smartphone takes care of that) or stats (who cares) to keep goingĭon't flash roms every 5 mins on my phone, now opt for stock stabilty.ĭon't replace car audio anymore as "it's too complicated" Nowadays my desktop is collection of most important files, things to catchup on, office/personal stuff and all kinds of new stuff that i did not store anywhere else yet, and i am not sure if i will keep. Rainmeter cant read sensors, it just has plugins that can 'talk' to the programs that do. Then, use it in your skin like this: Code: Select all. In any case you have to be running the program. That might be SpeedFan, or CoreTemp, or HWiNFO. i rarely ever look at it, since most time is spend in the browser, or in full screen apps. First, you have to be running the program that the skin is designed around. (this was the main reason i stayed with neowin originally)Įven posting funny pictures to neowin seems a better way to waste time, then customizing my desktop. i don't have time or will to do it, even though i was totally into it when i was younger. I cannot be bothered to customize the desktop anymore. nowadays i am running win8.1 with classic shell. They are listed in the speedfan app in order from 0 to xx, depending on how many you have. There can be many depending on your case, motherboard, CPU, graphics card, etc. Then there is the ability to create lots of custom tiles including Yes, there is a lot of duplication of effort here between monitors, but having access to all your programs on each monitor when you have a program open fullscreen on either is extremely helpful. After you run Speedfan, open its GUI and decide which temperature sensors you wish to monitor in your Rainmeter skin. Some of these are active and others are fixed.just like Windows Tiles. Omnimo comes with a lot of its own specific "super" icon tiles much the same as the Windows Tiles. And there's still plenty of space left on the desktop for other Fences categories. You can also create custom icons in a Fences category including I also have iObit's Advanced System Care Performance Monitor (fully expanded so it shows the various system temperatures) to round out that monitor's desktop. For example, I have Microsoft Programs (which includes Office programs, Skype, etc.), General Programs, Security & Utilities and Games. Then on the Monitor 1 I use Stardock's Fences to reign in all the program icons under different categories. ![]() DisplayFusion also locks programs to one or the other Monitor when opening, so in my case I like having Outlook open on Monitor 1 all the time and then when there's a hyperlink in an email that I want to follow, IE or Edge will automatically open on Monitor 2 for viewing. The nice thing about DisplayFusion is it's a one-time purchase and you get lifetime updates (at least for the betas) and you get a second Taskbar with Start button to boot on Monitor 2. For all the Window PC enthusiast out there, these CPU Rainmeter Skins feature to show processor system info and stats. Yue wrote: Tue 12:24 pm As I understand now, even while your skin names them 'Core1', 'Core2' (. MONITOR 1: I use Stardock's Start10 Update for the choice of a Windows 7 Start Menu to begin with then I add DisplayFusion for control of a dual monitor setup. I assume what you meant is that it's updating or grabbing 5 processes every second.I find it useful since I have a dual 24" touch monitor setup. It's set to update every 1000ms or every 1 second. Hey guys, it took me a really long time to find something that was simple, clean, and showed usage as well as temps. It's a noticeable increase, but nothing like what you're experiencing.Īlso, you're skin doesn't update 5 times a second like you mentioned. When I load your skin it's usage range changes to 0.1 - 0.9%. I typically have Rainmeter idling around 0.1 - 0.6% usage on my CPU. I don't see any noticeable spike in my Rainmeter usage when loading your skin exactly as you've given it. As you might imagine, this can get quite involved if you want your skin to run on a 64-core/128-thread AMD Threadripper, where you need hundreds of measures to get all the info. Legacy Color Name Support-Ī few quick questions Are you using a 32bit or 64bit version of Rainmeter and what is your OS version? Do you have the most recent Beta Build of Rainmeter installed? You can get the most recent build, Rainmeter 3.2 Beta (r2311) which is current as of from the direct download link here. Your skins CPU tooltip is showing only half your CPU usage, so youll need to add more measures for the remaining cores. Or is the only solution to not poll the list of processes 5 times every second? ![]()
